I hope everyone is having and wonderful Wednesday!  I was out sick yesterday so I was not able to put up a homework post.  This morning we enjoyed the second half of the talent show.  Everyone seemed to enjoy it.  In the afternoon we took the written part of the Hail Mary test.  We also talked about double-digit addition.  Lastly, we met with our reading buddies.

HOMEWORK: Tonight for homework we have a Math sheet on double-digit addition.

I hope everyone is having a thumbs up Thursday!  We had a fun day in 1A!  This morning we listened to our readers chair reader and then we read a story together about the Wright Brothers.  As a little treat this morning we went outside with 1B and played on the playground while it was still cool outside.  When we came inside we watched a short video on the Wright Brothers.  Before lunch we reviewed a little for our Math test tomorrow.  After lunch we read some from our chapter book and then went to Music and Gym.

HOMEWORK: Tonight for homework you are to study for you Math test on measurement, your Math fact test on +7, and your Spelling test.  There is no other homework.  These tests should not be very hard, but please study!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Wednesday! We had a very busy day in 1A. This morning we attended the Ribbon Ceremony for the 8th grade. We listened to two readers for reading chair and then went to Computers. After lunch we had a special visit from Mr. Witkowski in his State Trooper uniform. He told us all about his job and answered our questions. He also handcuffed Miss Kane and Mrs. Sullivan together for entertainment purposes only. Thank you Mr. Witkowski! Finally, at the end of the day we went down to the 4th grade to see their performance of the Great Kapok Tree.

HOMEWORK: Tonight we have a math fact review sheet for homework and that is all.

I hope everyone is having a terrific Tuesday!  We sure did in 1A!  Everyone was very well behaved for centers this morning.  I wonder if we were still a little tired from yesterday. In the afternoon we talked about why Sunday is important in a Catholic church.  We worked in our handwriting books and we finished the movie we started yesterday as well.

HOMEWORK: Tonight for homework we have a Math sheet on picking the right tool to measure different things.   We only have one homework sheet tonight.

I hope everyone is having a thumbs up Thursday! We did in 1A! This morning in Math we learned about temperature and how to use a thermometer.  We also listened to Reagan read for reading chair.  We worked a little in our Practice books.  Finally, we read a really cute and funny story called I Didn’t Do It.

HOMEWORK: Tonight for homework we have a Math sheet on Temperature and a Reading Comprehension packet.

TEST: Tomorrow we will have our Spelling test. Don’t forget to look over our words!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Wednesday!   We were busy again today in 1A!  We had centers this morning, then we listened to two people read.  After lunch we worked with cups, pints, quarts, and gallons in Math.  At the end of the day we met with our reading buddies.

HOMEWORK:  Tonight for homework we have Practice book page 176 and a Math sheet on cups, pints, quarts, and gallons.

NOTICE: I will soon be sending a permission slip home asking  if your child may watch a PG movie.  We have read a few of the Chronicles of Narnia books and I thought that it could be a special treat when our marble jar is full to watch the first Narnia movie The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.  I have talked to Mr. Fly about it and he think it is a nice idea, but we will not watch the movie without permission from every parent.  I will send home a permission slip soon.  If you do not want your child to watch it, no names will be mentioned, and we will do something else for our special treat.

I hope everyone is having a terrific Tuesday!  I have no idea how I forgot to do a homework post yesterday.  I guess we were just too busy in 1A.  Today I was out testing again.  Mrs. Kukay was in for me.  She said that everyone was wonderful for her.

I hope everyone is having a thumbs up Thursday!  I’m sorry I did not do a post yesterday.  I was doing testing yesterday and Mrs. Kukay was in for me.  She told me everyone did a great job!  I’m proud of you!

HOMEWORK: Tonight for homework we have Practice book page 169.  In the Practice book use the clues to complete the crossword puzzle.  There is only one homework page tonight.

TOMORROW:  I might not be here tomorrow.  I had a minor surgery the other day and it was very difficult for me to get through the day today.  If I can get a sub for tomorrow I will not be here.

I hope everyone is having a terrific Tuesday!  We were working hard again in 1A!  This morning we worked in centers.  We practiced writing our Spelling words in ABC order, we listened to and read many stories, and we used the balance scale to weigh different objects.  In the afternoon we used the balance scale again during math and in Religion we worked more on our Unit review.  We also worked a little in our Practice books.

HOMEWORK: Tonight for homework we have Practice book page 167 and a Math sheet on weight.  In the Practice book you must use the words in the box to finish each sentence.  On the Math sheet you must first look at the object and then circle the answer that would best  describe how much the object ways.  Next, you have to circle certain objects based on the directions above.  More than one object may be circled for a couple of them.
